Expand / CollapseCAN I VOTE ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, WITH ANY BROWSER?
Yes. Voters can vote anytime, from anywhere they desire. For example, voters can vote using a single PC during a meeting, or at the organization's office, where each voter can individually access the website and vote. Expand / CollapseWHAT ELECTION PRODUCT IS BEST FOR MY ELECTION?
The ZSentry Ballot product, with Count First (CF) ballot authentication, has the broader application profile. The ZSentry Ballot/CF also offers a range of election features in order to better serve diverse customer needs, such as write-in votes.
Expand / CollapseWHAT IS THE PRODUCT ZSENTRY BALLOT/CF?
CF stands for Count First. The voter can only vote once (count the first ballot).

Unique access codes (DVC™) are distributed to each voter by ZSentry Ballot and used with a single-click (without burdening the voter). ZSentry™ prevents phishing, spoofing and provides email encryption with authenticated email addresses.

USE SUMMARY OF PRODUCT ZSENTRY BALLOT/CF:

1. Preparation: The ORGANIZATION sends the Election Information to Safevote, with information on races and eligible participants. Safevote prepares public and restricted web pages, with access control according to the information provided.

2. Registration: When the election begins, eligible participants receive a secure email ZSentry™ with their unique access codes on behalf of the ORGANIZATION. No ZSentry™ registration is required, participants' email addresses are authenticated by ZSentry™ automatically, and participants may use their unique access codes with a single-click. All email bounces are sent back directly to the ORGANIZATION, for resolution. The Election Title, as defined by the ORGANIZATION, shall be the Subject of the ZSentry™ mail.

3. Voter Authentication: Once authenticated by their email address, participants must type a Personal Identifier chosen by the ORGANIZATION, for example the Home ZIP code. If the Personal Identifier is incorrect, access is denied (voter may request from the ORGANIZATION a Provisional Registration to vote, see below).

4. Registration Correction: To handle member's bounced and undeliverable email addresses, while also tracking email address updates, the ORGANIZATION shall receive instructions, and be able to directly authorize each one of those members, to use a Safevote facility called "Provisional Registration" during the election. Participants may also use the Election Site to request the ORGANIZATION to update their email addresses, and request Provisional Registration.

5. Participation: Authenticated participants may read the Election Ballot and cast their votes to be tallied. Provisional registration participants may also read the Election Ballot and participate but their submission will only be tallied if their registration has been authorized by the ORGANIZATION. Participants may cast only one ballot.

6. Results: At the end of the election, Safevote shall audit and send to the ORGANIZATION, by secure email ZSentry™, the election results and the voter list, in Excel file format.

Expand / CollapseWHAT IS THE PRODUCT SECURE LOGIN BALLOT/CF?
CF stands for Count First. The voter can only vote once (count the first ballot).

Safevote's Secure Login Ballot process makes it easier to comply with additional needs of large organizations. Customer can create an "Election Center" page or site that centralizes all running elections. Voters use familiar customer pages for login and can vote spontaneously. Upon login at the customer site using the customer's pages and the customer's directory database, which the customer may change at any moment, Safevote assigns unique access codes (DVC™) to each voter. The DVCs are used automatically by voters, to vote privately and securely using the Safevote process.

SUMMARY OF ELECTION PRODUCT SECURE LOGIN BALLOT/CF:

1: The first step does not require any previous information from Safevote to the user. The user visits the ORGANIZATION election page for whatever reason. For example, the user saw a banner about an election, decided by himself, or received an email from the ORGANIZATION.

2: User goes to the ORGANIZATION login screen.

3: If the user login is successful, the user sees the currently active elections that are available. The user clicks "Vote" for the desired election.

4: The Vote button sends the necessary voting-ticket information to Safevote as supplied by the ORGANIZATION for each user. This is done at the ORGANIZATION server, with the correct send-form and the appropriate fields and arguments specified by Safevote, using a short server code supplied by Safevote to the ORGANIZATION. The server code creates a time-stamped, signed voting-ticket that can be independently authenticated by Safevote.

5: The Safevote confirmation page appears, with the user's last name and email address as authenticated, read-only fields pre-filled by Safevote. The user does not have to enter any data. The user clicks CONFIRM to go vote.

6: After the user clicks CONFIRM, the user sees the first page of the ballot. The user can select choices, make changes, confirm and cast the ballot with all privacy, security and integrity assurances of the Safevote process.

To protect the voter, the voting-ticket expires if not used within a reasonable time.
